FROM PARIS TO BROOKLYN
Paris, to begin with
I grew up in France with a sketchbook always close by. Drawing, painting, filling pages with shapes and silhouettes. From a very young age I was completely obsessed with fashion shows, studying the collections, the staging, the way a designer could build a whole world through clothes.
So I studied fashion design in Paris, which was the obvious next step. And right out of school I started working for fashion houses, learning the industry from the inside. The ateliers, the fittings, the back-and-forth between an idea and a finished garment. It was a lot. It was also just the beginning.
New York, a new chapter
In 2013 I packed my life into a few suitcases and moved to New York. The city felt like a completely different creative language, louder, faster, more alive. I joined Calvin Klein as a fashion designer and spent several years there, working on collections and growing in ways I hadn’t expected.
But somewhere along the way, I started missing something. After years inside large fashion brands, I wanted to get back to making things with my own hands. Being close to the materials. Making every decision myself. Making collections at my own pace.
A workshop in Brooklyn
I signed up for ceramics and jewelry workshops in Brooklyn almost on a whim. Then another. Then I couldn’t stop. Working with metal and stone felt immediate and honest in a way I hadn’t felt in a long time. I fell in love with the process. Something clicked and that was it.
That is when llayers was born. Handcrafted in Brooklyn, with one clear intention: pieces that are minimalist, unisex, timeless, and made to be mixed.

Why llayers
“Each passion is a layer of who I am. Jewelry, ceramics, clothing, music. llayers is where they all come together.”
The name came naturally. I’ve always loved the word layers. It feels open, full of possibility. It’s how I move through creative work: never just one thing, always building, always adding depth. Jewelry. Ceramics. Clothing. Music. Each one is a layer of who I am.
I added the extra l on purpose. It makes the name more graphic, more its own thing. A small visual detail that reflects the whole idea: multiple elements coming together to form something new.
Today llayers is a home for unisex minimalist jewelry, handcrafted in Brooklyn. I also design objects connected to the energetic field, pieces chosen for their meaning as much as their beauty. Everything is made to feel quiet but intentional. Made to last.
And this blog?
This is where I’ll share the story behind the work. The process, the inspirations, the objects and places that feed into what I make. Welcome to llayers.
