The chain is gold-filled and the loopes are vermeil (thick gold plated on silver).

Gold-filled is a more resistant material than gold-plated, and 5% of the weight of the jewelry must be composed of gold (50 to 100 more important than gold-plated jewelry).

The chain is 45cm long (17 3/4").
